A serpentine tube assembly consists of three consecutive sections of cylindrical or conical tubes whose axes lie in non-coplanar planes.

Serpentine tubes are pipes that meander multiple times within a single plane. For convective heat transfer surfaces in boilers—such as economizers, superheaters, and reheaters—serpentine tube configurations are commonly employed in both horizontal and vertical layouts.

Vertically arranged serpentine tubes are prone to water accumulation after boiler shutdown but facilitate support and suspension.

The superheater, reheater, and economizer in boilers all employ serpentine tube heat transfer surfaces.

Testing

according to customer requirements can do water pressure, ultrasonic, eddy current testing.
